Our guys working on new school in Plik New School in mountain village of Plik
The new school in Plik is done!!!
We are so proud of the 8 guys who spent June 16 to 23 building the roof for the new school in Plik. This is a village you can only reach on donkey paths up in the mountains! The school is being attended by 150 children from the area, and the new school benches buiot by the Januiary (2013) team are all there and being used.
School #4...
Fran met with our Haitian "Boss Mason" in April-- the foundation for the new school in Plaine Marie is done! They are starting to work on the walls, and will build as fast as the building materials can be supplied. One of the biggest challenges is getting as much sand hauled up from the river (a two hour walk each way) before the Spring rains make gathering sand too difficult (the sand is mixed with cement to make our concrete blocks).

The plans are currently being drawn for our next school, which will be in the village of Moron.
First Medical Clinic a Success!
We are immensely proud of Pastor Neil Schori (Naperville Christian Church) and Dr. Brian Stafeil (Madison, Wisconsin area), and their team who did our first one-week clinic for the remote villages where we work. They treated nearly 300 people for all kinds of things and learned a lot. The next clinic will be in November 2013.
